Sleep Disorders We Assess & Treat at The Sleep NeuroLab
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA)
OSA is a condition where breathing is repeatedly interrupted during sleep due to airway obstruction. This leads to loud snoring, pauses in breathing, and excessive daytime sleepiness. If left untreated, it can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and metabolic disorders. Our clinic offers comprehensive sleep assessments and CPAP therapy guidance for effective management.
Imsomnia
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that affects millions of people, making it difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, or achieve restful sleep. It can be acute, lasting for a few days or weeks due to stress or lifestyle changes, or chronic, persisting for months or years. Poor sleep quality can lead to daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and an increased risk of mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
RLS is characterised by an uncomfortable urge to move the legs, typically worsening at night and disrupting sleep. This condition affects sleep quality and may contribute to chronic fatigue. At The Sleep NeuroLab, we assess sleep patterns to tailor treatment recommendations that improve symptoms and overall sleep health.
Abnormal Sleep Behaviours
These disorders involve unusual movements, emotions, or behaviours during sleep, such as sleepwalking, night terrors, and REM sleep behaviour disorder (RBD), where individuals physically act out dreams. We conduct advanced diagnostic evaluations to identify and address these conditions effectively.
Excessive Daytime Sleepiness & Narcolepsy
Excessive sleepiness can significantly impact daily life and may be linked to conditions like narcolepsy or circadian rhythm disorders. We offer Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT) to evaluate daytime sleep tendencies and recommend appropriate management strategies.
Personalised Sleep Health Plans
Beyond diagnosis, The Sleep NeuroLab provides tailored treatment strategies, including:
✔️ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
✔️ Sleep hygiene education and personalised recommendations
✔️ Long-term monitoring and therapy adjustments
Our goal is to help patients restore healthy sleep patterns and improve their overall quality of life through expert assessment and personalised care.
